SaluTron^® - D8 / D9 / D10

In a matter of seconds the computer of the SaluTron instrument determines standard deviations such as peak, mean and minimum values. The measured results and the functions are displayed on an easily readable LCD display. All measured values can be immediately printed out together with the date, batch number, block number, and statistic calculation.

Additional measuring safety is obtained with the “limit” key: An acoustic signal is given for minimum and maximum coat thicknesses that have been saved beforehand. Measuring errors are thus reduced to a minimum.

A small one-point sensor with V-groove in the form of a pencil is part of the SaluTron instrument. The titanium-coated sensor has a wear resisting, hard pole which has been resiliently built into the holder, to ensure that the sensor can be fitted safely and without tilting whereby the supporting force remains unchanged. This sensor is excellently suitable for measurements on level surfaces, very small parts, concave or convex surfaces that are to be measured with constant preciseness.

The four program memories make of the SaluTron instrument a practical measuring instrument with high ease of use. Up to 1500 measurements and 99 blocks per program memory can be statistically collected, recorded and displayed at request or printed out as many times as desired. Furthermore the calibrations for measurements on materials of different shapes, thicknesses and surface structures, as well as with different material characteristics, can be stored and recalled at any time. Three instrument designs can be supplied depending on the field of application:

SaluTron^® - D9
SaluTron^® D9 measures coats such as paints, enamel, plastic materials, chrome, copper, brass, zinc, cadmium, and phosphates on steel and iron (Fe). Its measuring range is from 0 to 150 micron.

SaluTron^® - D8
SaluTron^® D8 makes coat thickness measurements on nonferrous metals (NFe) such as aluminium, copper, high-grade steel, and brass possible. In its measuring range from 0 – 800 micron it measures coats of paints, enamels, plastic materials, and all insulating coats such as anodising coats on aluminium.

SaluTron^® - D10
SaluTron^® D10 combines all of the before-mentioned measuring characteristics of SaluTron^® D8 and SaluTron^® D9. Through the simple replacement of the two supplied sensors the measuring program in the instrument is switched over from "Fe" to "NFe". It goes without saying that here too 4 program storages are at your disposal for each measuring program.
