Hardness measuring device TIME®5210C with Ethernet interface
Hardness measuring device TIME®5210C with Ethernet for industrial hardness testing

TIME®5210C

The TIME®5210C hardness measuring device is a new hardness tester for industrial use on site. It is powered by 220 V AC and delivers stable readings even in harsh industrial environments thanks to its high resistance to interference.

Via the Ethernet interface (Modbus TCP) the device can be connected to PLC controllers and PCs and integrated into the user’s online testing system. In addition, measurement parameters and calibration can be set directly on the device or entirely via the host computer.

All seven digital TIME impact devices can be used because the type is identified automatically; the standard impact device type D is included in the scope of delivery. This makes the TIME®5210C suitable for automated production lines and for hardness testing of batch workpieces.

Features of the TIME®5210C

  • robust metal housing in sealed design, compact and light
  • high resistance to interference for stable readings in industrial environments
  • 2.42-inch OLED display with 128 × 64 dots, bright and high-contrast
  • all 7 digital impact device types usable, automatic identification without recalibration
  • automatic detection of the common impact directions (except impact device type G)
  • connection to PLC controllers and PCs via Ethernet (Modbus TCP)
  • adjustable IP address for on-site networking
  • measurement parameters (material, hardness system, impact direction, conversion table) can be set by software or on the device
  • calibration by software or on the device
  • powered by 220 V AC (single-phase)

Applications of the TIME®5210C

  • hardness testing of batch workpieces in automated production lines
  • integration into online testing systems via PLC controller or PC
  • semi-automatic hardness testing with parameters set directly on the device
  • fully automatic online hardness measurement controlled by the host computer
  • hardness testing in industrial field use
