UTG Alpha
The UTG Alpha® is a combination device with high operating comfort for non-destructive ultrasonic wall thickness measurements in various materials such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, glass, ceramics, plastics, and more. This is possible through the setting of sound velocities. The measuring range with standard probe N05 ranges from 1.2 to 230 mm in steel. For various application areas, special probes with different frequencies and diameters are available, which you can order upon request. All probes are automatically recognized and calibrated by the device.
Properties
- Durable and robust aluminum housing
- With additional probes for hard-to-reach areas (edges, radii, etc.) and materials with high attenuation (cast iron, gray cast iron, etc.)
- Probe zeroing function
- 2-point calibration function
- Single-point or scan mode
- Coupling status display
- Storage of up to 1980 measurement data
- USB stick with software, USB interface cable for PC
- Battery capacity indicator
- Operating time: 100 hours without illumination
